Reese Witherspoon isn’t the only southern belle heating it up in the kitchen. Natural Food Enthusiast, author, blogger, techie, and pop-up restaurant owner, Chef Cynthia, has written another book. However, this time it is not a book about bits and bytes. She talks about new bites in her book and she has inserted Instagram into the experiment. Her new book, published by CYL Publishing is titled, “Soulful Vegetarian Cooking: A Southern Girl’s Meaty Love Affair and Romantic Journey to Natural Foods on Instagram” hits the stands this week. The book tells of a woman from the Deep South transitioning towards a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle in finger licking, bar-b-que pork rib cattle country – Texas. She uses Instagram to chronicle her journey and shares intimate details about her temptations. “Food is personal and what I discovered over the last few years is there are millions of women who are paying more attention to the food they put into their bodies. If I didn’t have Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter or Facebook I would have thought I was alone on this journey,” states author Chef Cynthia. She shares recipes that caught the eye of her social media followers and discovered a shocking new world online.
